How do I hire a secret shopper in Victoria?

Book online at undercovershopper.ca/book in about 60 seconds. Pick a product, enter your Victoria business address, choose what you want the shopper to pay extra attention to, and pay by card. We assign a vetted local shopper within 24 hours.

Can you visit my Victoria business on a cruise-ship day or in peak summer?

You can select a start date when booking, with visits normally scheduled within the following five days. If you want a particular day, such as a cruise-ship day or a summer weekend, include that request in the “Anything else worth flagging?” box. Specific timing depends on agent availability.

Do you cover Saanich, Langford and the West Shore?

We accept bookings across Greater Victoria, including Saanich, Esquimalt, Langford and the West Shore. Enter your business address when booking so we can determine agent availability for the assignment.

Are the mystery shoppers actually based in Victoria?

Yes. We only assign shoppers who live within their stated travel radius of your business, so the person walking into your Victoria location is a real local customer who has no connection to your business. We never use call-center or AI-generated reports.

What kinds of businesses can be mystery shopped in Victoria?

Most often: restaurant, cafe, retail, salon, plus gyms, dental practices, cannabis dispensaries, and other service businesses across Victoria. If you can buy something or be served at your business, we can shop it.

How long until I get the mystery shopping report?

Reports for Victoria missions are typically delivered within 7–14 days of booking. We schedule the visit window, dispatch a vetted local shopper, and QA the report internally before it lands in your inbox, with photos and a clear pass/fail on the checks you picked.

Can I tell the mystery shopper what to focus on at my Victoria business?

Absolutely. At booking you choose up to 5 specific things the shopper should pay extra attention to (for example "did they suggest a wine pairing", "was the bathroom clean", or "did the cashier mention the loyalty program") on top of the standard service, cleanliness, and product checks.

Is mystery shopping legal in British Columbia?

Yes. Mystery shopping is a standard, legal market-research practice in British Columbia and every Canadian province. Shoppers act exactly like regular customers: they buy, observe, and report. They never deceive in a way that creates legal exposure for you.
